This week, HRA and PTA made a joint-submission to the exposure draft of the Online Safety Amendment (Digital Duty of Care) Bill 2026, highlighting the need to protect access to legitimate, evidence-based harm reduction and public health information online. While supporting efforts to reduce online harms, HRA is calling for clear safeguards to ensure the legislation does not inadvertently restrict vital drug information, alerts and other harm reduction content that can help prevent harm and save lives.
