Following the successful inaugural report early last year, we are back with another comprehensive overview of the key national data sources on alcohol & other drugs (AOD) and harm reduction. This report brings together key data from the routine data monitoring systems and national surveys on AOD issues. Until last year, those with an interest in this type of data were forced to visit multiple websites and read often lengthy reports to gain key information to inform their advocacy work and program development. But not anymore… because HRA is now publishing the AOD Data Report each year so that those working in and around harm reduction can find the information they are seeking quickly, easily, and in one place. This report brings together key findings from the national AOD data sources that were updated in 2025 including:
- National Drug-Induced Deaths/Overdose Data
- National Opioid Pharmacotherapy Statistics Annual Data
- Ecstasy and Related Drugs Reporting System
- Illicit Drug Reporting System
- Australian Needles & Syringe Program (NSP) Survey
- Needle and Syringe Program (NSP) National Minimum Data Collection
* Note: National Drug Strategy Household Survey was not updated in 2025 so the data remains as published in our previous report.
