Despite the evidence supporting drug consumption rooms (DCRs) as effective public health interventions, currently only two such facilities are permitted by government to operate nationally – leaving many high-need communities underserved. HRA’s new Drug Consumption Rooms Policy Brief outlines the current state of play and makes the case for expanding access to DCRs in Australia.
